Advanced Labelling -
Create Smart Labels with Bar Code and RFID Technology

Visualise a warehouse where radio frequency identification (RFID) tags on incoming pallets automatically track and sort inventory – before a single carton is ever opened.  Advanced bar codes and RFID tags are enabling companies like yours to sort inventory three times faster than traditional methods, resulting in significant savings in time, money and labour. With Bottomline’s Advanced Labelling solution, this vision could be your reality.

Beyond Basic Labels

Advanced Labelling works with our document automation solutions to go beyond basic labelling by enabling newly adopted standards, such as RFID labels. Advanced Labelling is a proven solution that also supports a rich set of thermal printers for traditional barcode labels. With the system, your company will be able to combine barcode and RFID labels and print them on-demand. Additionally, labels can be generated from your desk, the warehouse, wireless Pocket PCs, Windows CE or Windows CE.NET mobile devices.

Bottomline's Advanced Labelling solution supports:

  • Many bar code standards including, UPC and EAN 128, RSS, 2-D and Data Matrix.

  • Linear and composite standards.

  • ECP Class 1/0/0+, I-Code, ISO 15693 and Tag-IT RFID labels.

  • Hundreds of thermal label printers, including model-specific drivers.

  • Windows desktop and mobile computers.

Driving Process Efficiency

The business benefits are clear. Advanced Labelling works with Optio's Design Center & Document Server’s document automation solutions to optimise performance and eliminate non-value added processes.  RFID technology enhances visibility, reduces paperwork and eliminates archaic processes from supply chains in virtually every industry. Additionally, your company will be better equipped to meet customer’s unique receiving and inventory needs through customised label content and formats.

Advanced Labelling enables your organisation to:

  • Accelerate the process of progressing incoming shipments to inventory or production.

  • Print labels from the shop or warehouse floor.

  • Tailor labels to meet customer and trading partner specifications.

  • Track containers from manufacturer to customer – including international orders that cross through borders and customs.

  • Reduce lost shipments.

  • Accurately identify parts.

Flexible to Meet User Needs

Advanced Labelling features a step-by-step design tool, allowing users to create custom labels or select from existing templates. Standard label templates are compatible with stock from APLI, Avery, Brady, CILS, Zip Tape and other leading vendors. Once a label is defined, it will appear as a desktop icon.  Users with more complex needs can select the needed label from a list in the system. Bottomline's Advanced Labelling solution conforms to leading retail, chemical, automotive and other RFID standards, including Department of Defense, and supports more than 900 optimised thermal-label printers and any standard office printer, including model-specific drivers for enhanced performance.
