Case Study - Cheshire County Council
What do they do?
Cheshire County Council’s Finance office covers a very wide spectrum of responsibility. Their core purpose is to ensure that the financial affairs of the County Council and the Cheshire Pension Fund are properly administered and underwritten.
Why did they need our help?
Towards the end of 2004, Cheshire County Council started the process to move over from Bacstel to Bacstel-IP.
Being a public sector body, regulations meant that the council had to consider several Bacstel-IP software providers to ensure they were using their public funds in the best way.
Research and previous good service led them to our competitively-priced payment solutions software.
How did we help them?
Thanks to our payment solutions software, Cheshire County Council can now hand responsibility for sending its own Bacs files to the payroll department. Using the system, the council has seen increased security and efficiencies throughout its payment and collection process.
What do they have to say about us?
“We chose to go with Bottomline because we had been happy with their service in the past and with our previous solution from them. Being a public sector organisation we had to consider costs very carefully and their payment solution was very competitively priced. We also needed a solution which would integrate with our Oracle Financials system and with our legacy mainframe which theirs was able to do”.
“Bottomline’s PayBase now allows us to send multiple files together, rather than on an individual basis, which saves us time. It’s a user -friendly piece of software and our staff are very comfortable working with it”.
Mike Jones, Technical and Business Support Manager.
