What do they do?
IMES, part of the Descours & Cabaud Group, is the market leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) supplier in Belgium with sister companies in France and the Netherlands.

IMES has a catalogue of over 200,000 products from 4,000 suppliers of which 80,000 are always in stock. IMES provides a critical service to their businesses, supplying everything from nuts and bolts to spanners and safety glasses.

Why did they need our help?

IMES stock specific parts for individual customers and will provide catalogues personalised to a customer’s requirements. To deliver this customer service profitably, IMES has to run very sophisticated information systems. The level of custom information output from these systems led them, initially, to adopting FormScape, a legacy document management solution from Bottomline. After 5 years of use, IMES has migrated to Bottomline’s Transform modular solution – further improving the sophistication of systems output and adding inbound document processing capabilities.

How did we help them?
IMES operates within a multilingual market and must ensure traceability of their products through the supply chain. Transform has enabled this process to be automated, substantially reducing cost and the risk of errors.
Transform has also enabled IMES to completely customise inbound and outbound document processing as well as enabling the
interconnection of disparate core systems resulting from corporate acquisitions.
IMES develops their own system software, Transform has delivered massive cost and time savings by speeding up the development of new system functionality, dramatically reducing the need to write custom code.
