Bottomline Technologies Commences Fourth Annual European Customer Conference

Collaborative Forum Focuses on Driving Best Practices for Corporate Payments and Transactional Document Processing

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – May 13, 2009 - Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY), a leading provider of collaborative payment, invoice and document automation solutions, today commenced its European User Conference, an annual gathering of senior-level executives from leading corporations, financial institutions and public sector organisations.

Now in its fourth year, Bottomline’s European User Conference combines compelling end-user testimonials with focused sessions featuring Bottomline’s solution portfolio to create a collaborative and educational forum which explores go-forward technology strategies for optimising payment, invoice and other transactional document processes. Presenting at the conference on the benefits realised through Bottomline’s solutions will be TDG, one of Europe’s leading supply chain management companies and Norwich Union, the largest insurance provider in the UK and an Aviva company.

“Since its inception, this conference has proven to be an invaluable opportunity for members of the Bottomline user community to exchange ideas and further their understanding for how Bottomline’s cost-saving products and services can be leveraged to address today’s most pressing corporate payment and document processing challenges,” said Nigel Rouch, Senior Project Manager at TDG and Chairman of the Bottomline User Group for EMEA.

“The value Bottomline delivers to its customer engagements extends beyond product features and functionality. Our customers look to us to provide the thought leadership and expertise vital to achieving strategic goals for treasury and accounts payable,” said Nigel Savory, Managing Director of Bottomline Technologies Europe. “Through this annual event, we are able to further widen the use of best practices and help our UK and European customers to drive down processing costs, while achieving improved security and control.”
