Bottomline Technologies to Present at Oracle UK User Group Conference
Executive-level Discussion Provides Path for Navigating Complexities of Regulated Payments
READING, ENGLAND - 31 October 2005 - Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY), a leading provider of payments and invoice automation software and services, and Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, today announced that the company will be leading an executive-level discussion on international payments and messaging standards at the UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) Conference & Exhibition 2005. The presentation will take place on Monday, 31 October 2005 at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, England.
With the high cost of cross border payments and emergence of regulated payments standards such as BACSTEL-IP, Pan-European ACH (PEACH) and Single European Payments Area (SEPA) in Europe, many banks and corporations are re-evaluating payment processing strategies and objectives. Representing Bottomline Technologies, Tim Miller, Vice President of European Channel Alliances, will examine the complexities of today’s European payments landscape and provide Oracle, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards users with a blueprint for using a regulatory-based payments framework to establish long-term process efficiency gains and significant cost savings.
“The introduction of several new payments standards has brought about a period of unprecedented change with regard to international electronic payments,” said Joe Mullen, CEO of Bottomline Technologies. “For organisations that proactively embrace standards such as SEPA, there is a tremendous opportunity to leverage these standards as a positive mechanism for creating new revenue streams, improving straight through processing and reducing costs.”
Now in its seventeenth year, UKOUG 2005 provides attendees with a comprehensive program of educational presentations and panel discussions designed to foster the exchange of ideas and best practices for successfully leveraging Oracle, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards applications and infrastructure solutions. The conference, which begins on 31 October, concludes on Wednesday, 2 November 2005.
