What is this information for?
Within your Bottomline BACS software, you have
an embedded ISCD (Industry Sort Code Directory). This allows your
software to validate sort codes and account numbers within your BACS
files to ensure your credit and debit data is as accurate as
possible. Bottomline provide you with an update to this directory
free of charge every month.
This update notification also applies to BankScan (Bottomline's sort code and account number validation software) and Faster Payments Solutions.
IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM BACS: From January 2012, all Bacs service users must update all databases and applications that use sort code information, supplied by the ISCD, on at least a monthly basis to remain compliant.

Important Update for Winbacs 6.39 users The
update location for the automatic file download has changed. Please
go to http://www.bottomline.co.uk/support/iscd.html and download the
'New_eiscd_download_location.zip' file. Instructions are included on
how to apply the update.

Within your Bacs software it is important that Bank holidays are recognised as invalid Bacs file processing dates. As these dates change year on year they must be updated within the software on an annual basis. NOT PERFORMING THIS UPDATE MAY MEAN THAT
YOUR BACS FILES ARE PROCESSED ON AN INCORRECT DATE.

Then
select the relevant "Bank holidays update" for your software
type. You will download a zip file which contains both the
relevant update file(s) and also a pdf file containing detailed
instructions on how to perform the update.
This update can be
performed at any time however it is important that, if you have not
already done so, it is carried out before the next relevant bank
holiday date. To access your latest update now, please go to: http://www.bottomline.co.uk/support/iscd.html. Click on the relevant software download. Save the file. When opening the file enter the password when prompted.
